About Danielle.
I’ve had the entrepreneurial bug since I was 16 years old. I used to daydream about starting my own business and had many ideas that came and went over the years. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in History and a minor in Business, I moved to New York where I worked as an analyst for Bank of New York in High Yield Capital Markets. After two years experience on Wall Street, I was ready to come back to San Francisco and be closer to my family. I worked for Bank of America Securities for three years before deciding to leave the banking world and pursue my entrepreneurial passion.
After studying many balance sheets and doing lots of number crunching, I worked at my mom’s store in Orinda for one year. I then decided to open my own store in San Francisco. The store opened in June 2003.
I think of my store as a mother/daughter shop. My mom was my inspiration to open the store. My customers come in and bring their mothers or daughters and both can find things! I carry many European designers as well as American designers, and I would describe the store as classic contemporary. I personally select every piece in the store!
